Well I’ve started my holidays and the list of things that I said I had to do hasn’t been touched yet. As I suspected, I’ve spent more time messing around with my blog than I have doing anything remotely constructive.
You may have noticed the “Technorati Tags” links at the bottom of my posts. I’ve just installed the Ultimate Tag Warrior plugin, and I’ve been messing around with that for the last couple of hours.
Apparently categories are so Web 1.0 and tags are the new Web 2.0 way of doing things. So as needs must, I’m currently experimenting with them to see how they work out.
I’ve also reinstated the Tag Cloud page to display the tags currently employed on my blog. This is slightly different than the Category Cloud in the sidebar. While categories can be thought of as chapter headings, tags are more like paragraph headings. So tags give a more detailed overview of a particular article and allow me to relate articles to each other, even though the relationship may be tenuous at best. Slightly confusing, I know, but lets see how it goes.
