Select the "Brushes" folder and hit CMD-I to get the folder info. At the bottom of the "brushes info" window, you'll see a padlock icon. Click that icon, and enter your password when requested. In the "Sharing and Permissions" section ou should see your name. Change your privilege to "Read & Write". Click the padlock again and close the "brushes info" window. You should now be able to drop your GIMP brushes into the folder. Regards, Paul. You may need to change the permissions for the folder.
