The Google Zeitgeist for 2008 is available online. As expected, it’s dominated by the US election, the Olympics, the Credit Crunch, and The Dark Knight.
There’s a regional breakdown as well, but even though we have Google.ie, there’s no Zeitgeist for Ireland.
No Irish Zeitgeist shown on google but somehow Irish news stations can quote irish results from Google Ireland so they must be somewhere… Curious……….
The only Irish Zeitgeist that I can find is from June 2008:

I particularly like the fact that Old Trafford was on the list of fastest rising Map searches – just reinforces my opinion that the majority of United fans couldn’t find Manchester without Google :)
