Apple have announced that they are to <a href="http://electricnews.net/frontpage/news-10036746.html">delay the release of Max OS 10.5</a>, codenamed Leopard, because they needed OS X developers and Quality Assurance staff to work on the new iPhone. Leopard was slated for release in early June, but will now not hit the shelves until October 2007.

While not as drastic as the four year wait for Windows Vista, this delay has led some to ponder if Apple are starting to move from being a computer company to a personal entertainment company. With more time and resources being devoted to the iPod and the iPhone, it is a genuine concern for those that are dependent on the company&#8217;s computers.</p>
